When we decided to take our oldest daughter Kristin to do gymnastics at the ripe old age of 3, we walked in the door of Sunrays never expecting it would become our life for the next 23 years. This is where our 6 children grew up; this is where they met their closest friends, traveled to parts of the country they might never have seen. If they weren't working out they wanted to come to open gym. When they were old enough to work this is where they got their first job, and some are still working here. Their fondest childhood memories revolve around Arizona Sunrays. This was truly their home away from home. Dan and Julie were and still are always striving to make the gym the best place to bring your children. We always knew this was the best place they could possibly be. We had 6 children on the team at one time or another. The 3 that continued into their senior year all received full-ride scholarships to major division one universities. That is a testimony in itself.
As a parent you hope to instill valuable life lessons to help mold your children into decent, responsible human beings. I truly believe that Arizona Sunrays helped in that process. They learned to be disciplined, determined, focused, patient, organized, to be challenged to do things they never thought they could do. They were part of a team that became the closest of friends.
We have met so many wonderful people at the gym and have been a part of the Sunrays Booster Club for 19 years. Our closest friends have come from being a part of Arizona Sunrays in one capacity or another.
Thank you Dan and Julie for enriching all of our lives in so many ways.
I would say this is the end, but some of our grandchildren have been seen running around the gym. I think we might be in for round 2!!

Dear Dan and Julie,
My name is Mrs. N, my youngest (4 year old) who spent the summer at your Arizona Sunrays Summer camp.
She is not my first to attend your summer camp, my other daughter(now 11) spent a couple of summers with you too.
I have years of experience with sending my kids to summer camps, and I just couldn't end their summer and send them off to school without letting you know how pleased I am with your summer camp program.
Mechelle, the camp director, that have been there for years now, is simply wonderful. Making sure that kids as well as parents are happy and safe. In no other camps my kids attended, did we feel so welcome and pleased. My 4 year old had fear issues as it relates to swimming. Mechelle did not only make sure she is cared for and safe by delegating the task to the counselors but made it her business to go and check on my daughter by herself, check on her swimming progress and convey it to me.
As I know how it works with any business, the leaders set the atmosphere for the whole organization. No wonder you have such a wonderful and caring group of counselors. They were all awesome.
My little one was so sad the summer is over and can't wait till next year to attend your camp again.
Please make sure Mechelle knows how I feel. We will certainly be back next summer ( and maybe spring break too).
