About the Owners
Julie and Dan Witenstein have been Phoenix residents for over 25 years. They have three wonderful children, Matthew (21), Ileyna (18), and Flori (18).
Dan began his gymnastics training as a teenager and went on to compete for Michigan State and Arizona State. He soon became the assistant coach for the ASU women’s gymnastics team for five years. He then moved on the head coaching at a private club where he began developing Elite gymnasts and became a National Team coach. Julie Witenstein’s gymnastics experience was recreational and she became an instructor and compulsory coach. Julie’s focus was on theater and dance as she trained in acting and movement at the University of S.C., ASU, and at the National Theatre of Great Britain. Julie has worked with valley companies such as Childsplay, Actors Theatre of Phoenix, and the Aurora Mime Theatre. In 2000, they were proud to be recognized for their business achievements as one of the ten finalists for the Chamber of Commerce, Small Business of the Year awards for the second year!
Since 1990, Dan and Julie have pooled their talents together to create a professional, fun and safe environment for children to learn and experience the joy of physical activity. “Where every child feels like a champion” is their slogan, which they sincerely want for each student as they instill self-confidence and fitness in a positive and nurturing environment.
